Evidently, they're not doing so well teaching kids proper eating habits in Britain. In a survey of eight- to 12-year-olds, one in six believed that broccoli was a baby tree, and one in five had never seen a zucchini. The survey, conducted by British food chain Somerfield, also found that kids' eating habits were influenced by watching The Simpsons (doughnuts) and Big Brother ("alcohol, fry-ups and sweets"). |
