Rat-infested KFC to close permanentlyPosted May 9th 2007 12:01PM by Joanne Lutynec As I'm sure you remember, several months ago a Greenwich Village KFC/Taco Bell was ordered to shut their doors by city health inspectors after a videotape showing rats on the floors and counter-tops was circulated on the internet. Though they had planned to wait for permission from health officials to reopen, the owner of the chain, Yum! Brands Inc., has now stated that this particular location will remain closed permanently. They are apparently reviewing recommendations from a pest-control expert, who is examining their operations nationwide to prevent an incident like this from occurring again. We can only hope. If you somehow missed it the first time around, you can view the YouTube video via this link. Pretty nasty stuff. |
