How to make your own butterPosted Jul 14th 2007 11:33AM by Sarah J. Gim A year or so ago, when my favorite namesake Slashfoodie Sarah Gilbert was still blogging with us, she posted about making butter at home with her kids. Neat! Since I can't find that post, I am pointing to a post from a site called Positron that 1) has a lot of information about butter and 2) gives you a step-by-step instructional with photos at every step on how to make homemade organic cultured butter. They use a butter churn, but I don't know a lot of people who just have butter churns lying around their kitchens, so Positron says you can just shake or roll the container. Thanks, Holly! |
