21. Thank goodness. Their coffee is really terrible in New York City. Anything will be an improvement. I hope it won't have Starbuck's prices, though. Posted at 4:03PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by Nancy 22. The new lid is a lawsuit in the making. Severely burnt my lip trying to drink from it. Beware. Posted at 4:07PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by Matt 23. Have never had a good cup of Dunkin' Donuts coffee. Tastes like it's not fresh and has a bitter aftertaste. (Maybe it's the water here causing the problem...lots of chlorine in our water). Will definitely try the McD's new coffee...IF it's sold in this area. As to store-bought coffee, prefer the Eight O'Clock coffee. But the best is what you find at the specialty cafes or coffee made from the beans you grind at home. I usually use a French press when making coffee at home. I used to work at MD's and was told by a customer to make sure the rag is out of the coffee .MD's sure needs an improvement .I sure hope its a good tasting cup of coffee . Remember, change creates the illusion of improvement. Posted at 5:13PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by duerduo 26. Had a cup at a McCafe in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Beats the heck out of Starbucks!!! Posted at 6:04PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by Joe 27. I had one of the "new" cups of coffee from McDonald's this morning. It was alright, not as bitter as the "old" stuff. I wasn't impressed. I'd still drive the extra mile for a cup o' White Castle or 5 miles for a Starbucks. Posted at 6:05PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by T 28. wen i moved from mcd to bk (because of no smokin)bks coffee was weak compared to mcds regular then they went to bk joe an it is way better than mcds reg if new mcds is anything like joe then theyve got a hit Posted at 6:05PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by mike 29. We have about 8 different whole beansfrom Trader Joes that we grind fresh every morning. Best coffee on the planet. Why would anyone want to buy anthing from McDonalds?? Except perhaps the Dasani water. Posted at 6:07PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by Kathy Meeks 30. The coffee has been around Dallas, TX for a while. Most here agree with me, it is a BIG Disappointment. It does not compete with Starbucks and definately is behind Dunkin Donuts. It is just too bitter. Posted at 6:27PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by John Kudra 31. If McDonald's had better "sissy coffee" drinks like Starbucks (yeah I pay the $$$ 'cause I like Starbucks!) I'd stop more often...hubby doesn't like McDonald's (he's a Burger King fan). Now if Macs offered some decent pastry, he'd be their pigeon!! Posted at 7:02PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by Anika 32. As for "fast food Gourmet coffee"? Remember it is in the brew technique and the diligent maintenance of a clean brew station. Cleaning, changing filters, etc. Do we really think that McD's employees will be attentive to the good distribution of their coffee, just as they do the "fine, healthy food" that McD's serves?? I think not. I'll stay with Barnes & Noble's and other gourmet coffee dedicated specialty Cafes. Thank you Posted at 7:10PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by DEE VALENTINE 33. Have not tried the new coffee at McDonald's, but I do agree with the other posts that the best coffee is fresh brewed Dunkin Donuts!! Posted at 7:33PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by Andrea 34. I live in the Boston area and "our" McDonalds have been advertising and selling "Newman's Own Coffee from Green Mountain Coffee" for a few months now. Surprising, it is pretty good, slightly better than Dunkin Donuts' coffee, in my opinion. Of course, I'm not a gourmet (I only have about two cups a day and don't really finish either one) but it really isn't bad and I like to think that in my small way I'm supporting Paul Newman's (sigh!) charity. Posted at 7:37PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by Cathy 35. I liked the old coffee just fine. I do not like the new. As with Coke, don't mess with a good thing. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Posted at 7:45PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by EJB 36. I have not tried the new McD's coffee. But I have to tell all of you to try WaWa if you have one near you. They have the best coffee I have ever had and once you move away from one it's tough to get good coffee anywhere else. They can keep Starbucks in my opinion it's horrible. Posted at 7:56PM on Mar 3rd 2006 by Lisa 37. OH PLEASE... Posted at 4:18PM on Mar 6th 2006 by Chris 38. I actually liked the old McD coffee a lot and am disappointed in the new. I think it has some chocolate in it too which I can do without. Sorry, but I think Star$ coffee stinks, I love DD coffee and Einsteins too (I am in Miami). This new McD coffee moves away from the DD end toward the Star$ taste and that is not an improvement for me. Posted at 12:16PM on Mar 8th 2006 by John 39. The McDonald's I went to must have been serving the old coffee in the new cups. Horrible!! Watered down with very little flavor and not even hot. Give me Starbuck, Caribou and the local coffee shop for a Rebellion Blend! Posted at 7:07PM on Mar 8th 2006 by Valerie |
