21. I'm a big fan of Zapp's (esp. the jalepeno ones), and Schlotsky's has some fantatic black pepper chips, but I've only seen them in the restaurants, never in grocery stores. 22. Grandma Utz's or Herr's. East coast through and through. 23. Wise, because every so often you'll get that intensely salty chip and it's chip heaven. With Cape Cod a close second. 24. Kay & Ray's Dark Chips, no question. I've never seen them outside a few stores in my corner of PA, but they deserve a much broader audience. They're a bit thick cut and fried in LARD!! And they're all cooked to a very dark brown, but not quite burnt. Perfect! 25. I'm glad someone else knows about Route 11 chips - delish. But I'm also a serious Ruffles fan, they never disappoint. I *think* Utz also used to sell a box containing two bags of rippled chips and that has to be my all time favorite. 26. another herr's vote here. crispy, firm but not thick, salty. greatly prefer to lays, etc. 27. Kettle brand Salt & Pepper chips are hands down my favorite potato chip -- nothing else can come close in terms of pure addictive potential. 28. Tim's Cascade Style chips--all flavors, but esp. jalapeno. Distributed by Bird's Eye foods, but not nearly far enough. I alwasys bring back a few bags when I hit the west coast. 29. I too love Jones'(shawshank Justin, very funny!)&Aron, and the Grippos' do have a wonderful bar-b-que,Randy, but for me the best are still the "mike~sells", the ones all my friends that have moved away, ask for each Christmas! 30. I stopped eating Pringles when they discontinued the Ridges line. My mainstay is Kettle, but I don't like the new age flavors like goat cheese or cheddar & beer. 33. I have traveled all over the United States and no other chip compares to the taste and flavorful crispiness that you get from Herrs potato chips, no matter what flavor they make.I grew up in Philadelphia Pennsylvania but now live newr Portland Oregon and throughout the country when ever I have given my many friends a taste of Herrs, they all agree that its the best they have ever eaten. They cannot wait for me to bring them more. 37. I am from Ohio also. All the ones listed are good. Conn;s is a locally made brand of chips that are pretty good. Personal favorite is Uncle Rays BBQ chips. 38. Lay's Light 1/2 the calories of regular chips and are fat free. They are more expensive, but no trans fatty acids and non-hydrogenated. 39. Cape cod potato chips are the best .Hands down.Salt and vinegar and cracked pepper are the Best.coming from someone whom lives in south Carolina, we know our chips and pork skins. 40.
