And if you are lucky enough to work for Campbell's you can buy a 3 pound bag of the chocolate for only 5 bucks! Instead of the nearly 3 dollar cost per chocolate you pay at one of their stores. Obviously, this chocolate retailer is strategically located in the heart of MaterialLand, otherwise known as Plano, Texas. Residents of this upscale community think that the more something costs, the better it must be. NOKA has figured that out. 32. The best chocolates I've tasted, loved, and keep buying every year are Sees, Ethel M., and Lake Champlain chocolates. My husband and I prefer all of these over Godiva also. Never tasted NOKA and never will, that's outrageous! 33. I think the reason is that affluent folks will spend more to show they can. It's like spending 100k for a car that isn't any better than one that's 40k. It's only to say they can, nothing more. I own a 10 yr old Toyota Avalon w/ 182k on it and it rides as good or better than those 100k cars. It's all in the name slapped on it. Chocolate is no exception. 34. "Casting pearls before swine". The wealthy are entitled to spend their money as they see fit. To them it may be worth spending another 200% for a 1% gain in quality. Besides, for them spending more makes it taste better.
