You are invited to an upcoming wedding and you want to give the bride and groom a wonderful present that they will remember for a long time.  What do you think that present would be?  Take a look at the couple and think of all the things that they like.

If you are a very creative person, you could put together a wonderful gift basket for them that they will treasure.  Gift baskets can be something very simple or they can be as elaborate as you would like for them to be.  Some ideas to get you started making that wedding gift basket include:  

? Purchase a wire heart-shaped basket and fill it with champagne, champagne flutes, a heart-shaped picture frame, chocolate roses, and assorted cakes and chocolates.  Add a romantic CD to complete the basket.  Wrap the basket with tulle and add flowers to the bow.

? Purchase a white heart-shaped picnic basket and fill it with white plates, flatware, white napkins, a white tablecloth, champagne, champagne flutes, and a corkscrew.  Also, include some different types of cheeses and assorted crackers.  You can add a cutting board and knife for the cheese.   Complete this by adding a big white bow on top of the basket.

? Purchase a white wicker basket and fill it full of gourmet treats.  Included with this you can put the couples favorite chocolates, cookies, nuts, snack mixes or whatever else you think the couple would enjoy.  

? You can make a basket around a certain theme.  One theme would be something for the laundry room.  Start by taking a laundry basket and packing it full of things that can be used in the laundry room.  Include with this hangers, clothes pins, a clothes pin holder and anything else you think they could use for their laundry room.

? Another household theme  basket would be something for their kitchen.  With this basket you can include various utensils, towels, flatware, cookbooks and anything else you can think of that they could use in their kitchen.  Instead of holding these items in a basket, you could use a big roasting pan and fill it like you would a basket.

? Another household theme basket would be something for their bathroom.  With this basket you can include bath towels, bubble bath, and scented soaps.  Add anything else that you think they could use.    

The hard part is going to be deciding which type of basket you think the couple would like.  Once you have decided on the basket and you have finished filling it, you need to wrap it in see through plastic, pretty wrapping paper or tulle.  Be sure to embellish your wrapped basket with a beautiful bow.  You can add silk flowers like ivy and roses through the bow or handle to make it look even more elegant.

You can be as creative in designing your basket as you would like.  There are so many different ideas that the possibilities are endless.  The bride and groom will love your present even more knowing that you took the time to make them something so nice.
