Decorating a Christmas tree in luscious pink is guaranteed to make it beautiful and distinctive. Try some of the following ideas for a gorgeous pink Christmas in your home.

Pink is a visually soothing color, representative of romance and love. In some cultures it is considered a very healthy color, symbolizing joy and happiness.

Rosebud Christmas

This classic Christmas tree is covered with beautiful silk cabbage roses. Lush and festive, it is perfect for a Victorian themed room. 

What you need:

- Pink or white Christmas lights

-Silk pink cabbage roses, three to four dozen

- Wide satin wired ribbon in pale pink satin, at least eight yards

- A cabbage rose print or solid pink tree skirt

- Floral wire, thin pink ribbon or raffia 

Using the ribbon, bind the stems of five or six of the roses together in a small bouquet. Wrap the ribbon around the stems, leaving some excess ribbon after you tie it. Use the excess ribbon to attach the bouquet to the top-most branch of the tree for a topper. Wrap the tree with abundant Christmas lights; pink will give the tree a soft romantic glow, white will be brighter and bolder. Use the floral wire or ribbon to adhere the remaining cabbage roses to the tree branches; you should have enough flowers to put at least one rose on at least every major branch. Wrap the wide wired ribbon around the lower part of the top branch a couple times to secure it; then drape the ribbon around the tree, lacing it in and out of the branches and down toward the bottom of the tree. Place the tree skirt under the tree for a thoroughly rosy Christmas.

What you need:

- Pink and white Christmas lights

- An assortment of pink glass ornaments, varying shapes

- Silver snowflake ornaments

- Translucent pink or silver glass or icicles

- Metal ornament hangers

- Tinsel icicles

Select up to three dozen classically shaped glass and porcelain ornaments in varying sizes and tones of pink. Traditional spheres and spires work well. Wrap the tree tightly with pink and white Christmas lights, alternating colors on the rows of branches as you place them. Decorate the tree, interspersing the silver ornaments with the pink until the tree shimmers with icy rose colored glass. A silvery pink-cheeked angel or a glittery spire can be used to top the tree. Finish the tree by carefully placing individual strands of tinsel on each branch.

For a Christmas tree that exudes romance, try this hearts and flowers tree. According to old German tradition, one of the twelve things a Christmas tree must have is the heart, symbolizing true love. 

What you need:

- Pink, red or white Christmas lights

- An assortment of predominantly pink heart ornaments including glass or crystal, wood and fabric ones

- An assortment of pink floral ornaments including glass or crystal, wood and fabric ones

- An angel tree topper, holding either a heart or a bouquet of flowers

- Wide wired ribbon, printed with hearts

- Metal ornament hangers

- Solid pink tree skirt

The wider the assortment of heart and flower ornaments you can combine on this tree, the more charming it will be; with a tight color and theme, you can afford to be eclectic in textures, shapes and sizes. Wrap the tree with Christmas lights in one color: pink, red or white. Hang your ornaments, being careful to balance the large and small ornaments and to alternate between hearts and flowers. Top the tree with your romantic angel. Wrap the wired ribbon around the tree, garland style to complete the design. A tree skirt with a small floral or heart print may be used as an alternate to a solid pink one.
